Logitech MX1000 problem
Recentely i bought the mx1000 and i have to admit the overall use of that mouse is farout the best i have ever come across. It's just
that i have one BIG annoying problem. At random moments the mouse cursor stops moving, let's says someone's busy tracking with the mouse and i pull out the usb cable, same effect. So the only thing i can do to correct this issue is to unplug the usb cable and then plug it back in. I have tried the drivers that are on the cd, i downloaded the latest drivers and even without them this issue couldn't be corrected. Personally i don't think it is a problem with the base/receiver because i used the reset function already, placed it on a different spot and so on. Besides if there would be a receiving problem i would have had a reaction from resetting the base/mouse. It's a shame really because such a great mouse but with such a great issue. Has anyone around here noticed a similar problem or have the similar problem? |

Try comparing with the PS/2 connector, if your motherboard has one.

Strange I have the MX1000 from Fall 2004 and i have never had any problem
It's probably something that has to do with your Motherboard USB ports or your Current mouse is bad and needs a change What Logitech drivers are you using ??? You can try at www.Logitech.com support pages maybe you will find something in there to fix your problem or even you can try sending an email to the Logitech crew to get a respond to your problem |

that is odd, I haven't had any problems with mine
how often does it happen? is it consistant after a short period of time or does it happen randomly? maybe you could try it on another computer and see if it happens there too, then you'd know it was the mouse/receiver and not the USB port

I had a similar problem where the mouse cursor would jump to the top of the screen at random intervals. Plugged the PS2 connector in and rebooted a couple of times and the mouse now works flawlessly.

I never had any crap like that. I use Mx510 with Steelpad4D. Comfortable gliding and no problems at all. Maybe all your problems just because MX1000 suck ass?

Why do you say that? its the best wireless mouse I've ever used.
Not everyone wants to have a wired connection. |

I have an mx1000 and occassionally have similiar symptoms caused by my cellphone. Do you by chance have a cellphone within maybe 3-5 feet of the mouse/reciever when this happens? My mouse dies whenever I check wireless internet/email on my cellphone nearby. |

any single or combination of the above could be the problem. i would also see what that port is sharing its irq with. usually irq sharing problems do not manifest with a mouse but with the other device, but anything can happen.
