how to remove kazaa update messages?

my roomate has kazaa 1.7 and it keeps asking whether he wants to upgrade to 2.0 and he doesnt want to, yet it pops up and asks every time he runs it... is there a reghack or anything to fix this?

Download Kazaa Lite 2.0 its just like Kazaa but without all the spyware and prompts like the one you are receiving. Kazaa Lite is definently much better than the original Kazaa, plus it doesnt have all the extra bundled programs.

What reasons does he have for not wanting to upgrade might be a better question? there's no way to stop the upgrade messages, there built in for a reason. KaZaA 2 is much better than previous ones, I can't see any reason to stay with 1.7, and if your bothered about spyware, someone has already suggested KaZaA Lite.
