Question about wireless access points.
We have a Linkys router and a Linksys wireless access point connected to the router. (a/g bands)
My bro is easily able to access the net using the WiFi on his laptop. My question is this. If we get WiFi LAN cards for the PC's in the house, will they all be able to access the internet through the same access point at the same time or will we need to get a wirelss router to be able to do that? |

Hi Rayder,
You are correct, the access point provides I think 20 users (it should give the exact number in the manual) wireless access to the lan. The router should not care how many PC's are behind it. I have my linksys router hooked to a 24 port switch and have no issues, so no config on the router should be necessary. You would just have to configure each PC's wireless to talk to the Access point. Make sure you use the WEP or WPA encryption if available for the Access point so no one can jump on your wireless and access your PC's or use your internet connection. Let me know if you need any help with that.
