exclamation Your P2P Client of choice

I would be interested to hear everyones views on what P2P client they are all currently using, Kazza, Kazza Lite, Kazza Gold, Grokster, Bearshare, Audio Galaxy, Limewire, Morpheus, MX? or another one?

Do Spyware and popups annoy you?

Yes, popups & spyware are annoying...

...so is getting your fingers slammed in a door. (Methinks everyone but the advertisers hate 'em. ) I don't use any p2p proggies, I don't think a 56K is enough to really share files with.

I use kazaa 2, and kill the ad banner with the dummy file, and any pop-ups are taken care of by Pop-Up Ad filter

I use Kazaa Lite 2. If you haven't guessed already, I dislike spyware and pop-up ads.

On the contrary....I run 56kbps modem....24/7....Yesturday I download 439.49 MB....That's damn fast....I average 5.5 kb/s usually....So I think I can manage....Considering that I can usually download 700MB in two days....So really that's one disc for a game a day... I think its pretty decent.......Granted I was on DSL at school last year and downloaded well over a Terabyte just in movies.......300+ movies...hehe I think that I'm set...Broadband in one week....AT&T .. I know it sucks....but still...better than 56k.

Oh and yeah, I can share an entire 40GB harddrive .... althought I don't let people download anything from me...come on...takes away half of my bandwith..I can't manage with just 2.5 kb/s

Oh yeah P2P.... I run Direct Connect...and DC++. Much more sophisticated than Kazaa, IMO. Kazaa is old news... I always had the hardest time finding files on there....I'm the type of person who get files before they are available to purchase...Bootleg of Spiderman 3 days before it was in theatres....Ya know?

I tend to use Kazaa Lite and Gnucleus for P2P

I recently used Proximotron for ad/popup blocking but I've recently found Privoxy which does a better job (imo) and is available for Win32 and Linux. Only gripe with it is that it has to buffer all the HTML first unlike other ad blockers.

I use Kazaa Lite 2 and Gnotella. Gnotella is usually my last resort.

I GNU it!

No, really... eMule (w/latest Tarod mod) for larger files (movies, ROM collections... leaks... and of course although full applications are available, I would never-ever-ever download them ), Gnucleus for most smaller files...

Occasionally I'll use Kazaa Lite with accelerator and sig2dat... not often, though. Even using the hacked Lite version, I still feel guilty using a big evil corporation's software... sure is fast, though, but not much faster than modern Gnutella clients.

I miss Xolox... that was such a great program back in the day.

(Almost forgot the big boy... IRC *grin* Get huge rare files, and h4x0red, all at the same time!)

Edit: Popups and spyware don't annoy me... because I use open-source clients. Not only are they (in the case of both Gnucleus and eMule) the fastest available, but they're almost invariably spyware free, and they always give you the option to disable it.
