ATI DVD Player 7.6, bug issue with DVD

This issue affects ATI DVD Player 7.6: After playing the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring DVD, some users may experience hangs, or general protection faults within 2-10 minutes of playback.

A good reason to stick with PowerDVD XP?

Ryo-Ohki is on a distinguished road

I've had some issues with ATI DVD Player and Ghibli ga Ippai (japanese import) DVDs. Moving the navigational slider during playback ends up having a nicely garbled display with greenish artifacts all over the picture.

Now, I like ATI DVD 7.6 so far, but it clearly can't compare to PowerDVD. I don't regret buying the license for it the slightest bit.
