LCD monitor problems *Pics*

I have a Viewsonic VP912B and, there is weird "interference" on the right side of the screen when applications are near the side (near the up and down scroll bar). It's colour changes to whatever the application is running. Ex. MSN it'll be blue, Running Far Cry it'll be green (Main screen in the mulitplayer). It looks alot like the Windows Media Player Visulisation "Fire Strom", except not as drastic, but still very annoying. Anyone know what's going on??

I do have speaker right next to my monitor. They say they are shielded, but in my experience, they are not shielded very well, (had interference with my old crt). I thought with LCD's didn't interfere with speakers? But I could be wrong..plus this only started to happen recently...
