Help with choosing cooler for AMD64 3400+ (754)

I need help with choosing cooler for AMD64 3400+ 754 (2.4 Ghz). (The 2800+ and retail aluminum cooler are hiting the road....)

I'm not looking to spend much as it was a strech to buy the CPU in the 1st place.
$18-$25 shipped is where i'm looking, no need for much overclocking head room any time soon or i'd buy an expensive cooler... of course copper cooler preferd

I see a couple good coolers that cought my eye....
http://www.thermaltake.com/coolers/venus/rs/a1838.htm
but on my board the memory is really close to the socket so
I’m bound to get / have clearance problems. only 10mm between that stock
cooler and my 1st memory bank. and 10mm on the other side between it and the
mosftet sinks

this seems to look like its the same size as the stock amd 2800+ aluminum
cooler.
http://www.thermaltake.com/coolers/venus/si/a1770.htm
but is it good enough ....
(also for fun would the retail cooler work )

I don't know, if you're not overclocking, you should be alright with the stock cooler.

I'm currently running my 3000+ 600 Mhz overclocked on the stock cooler, and am only hitting about 48 degrees on load.

yea but i'm going to end up needing two coolers for the two cpu's, the reatil one if i sell it needs to be sold with the retail heatsink

Silent boost looks fine to me. I'd get the venus 12 if I went with thermaltake, but you're not oc'ing...and it may be more expensive.

the killer is the heatsink can not be more then like 80 mm becouse of the closeness to the mosfet sinks and to the ram ... and the bigger ones will 99% sure have a clearence problem

left to right the AMD cooler is 70 mm, from top to bottom 80mm
and 80x80 cooler might fit verry tightly but then it going to be so close to the ram
it will severly hamper the esacpeing air from that side of the CPU cooler

(I don't mind overclocking it just i don't like pushing FSB's when it makes me have to push the memory bus as well, I hate these things are "locked")

I Figure it i get something that a tight fit I will just reverse the fan to suck insed of blow to keep from traping air and heat around the CPU...

Anyones else know any good coolers that would fit ok?

Sargentwhitey is on a distinguished road

The Zalman CNPS 7000 doesn't have enough height clearance to go right above those two?
