PIV 2.26@2.805 or XP 2400+
Hi there just wondering I have a PIV 2.26@ 2.805mhz on a ASUS P4B533-E Corsair XMS PC3200 CL2 512 but i'm thinking of going back to AMD but wondering if the XP 2400+ or one of the new CPU's would be faster or worth changing back to AMD will there be a big difference or a better overclock with the right board like a EPOX Thanks guys

Well, why run a nearly 400 mhz overclock on a P4 when you can just buy a spanking new 2400 or 2600 and get the same results out of less mhz.

I just upgraded from your same processor to what I have now in my specs. However, I'm not a big over clocker though. The 133MHz fsb Athlons seem to OC better than the 166MHz versions if you are really thinking of going back to AMD. If you really want to upgrade I would wait for the dual channel DDR granite chipset from Intel. Reason being is it offers the same memory performance as rambus plus you'll have hyperthreading support. I'm not certain but I think I remember reading your board "may" have a bios update to support hyperthreading. Economically you could upgrade to a 2.5 for cheaper than buying a 2400 w/ a decent motherboard. You can already OC to 2.8 with your setup I'm sure you could hit 3.0 GHz, but don't quote me on that.
