Burned square in my desktop (please help!)

Hey all. I just got my new motherboard today, the Asus P4P800-E. I installed it and booted up to windows. when I booted up, I had this square at the top of my desktop. No matter what I do, it doesn't go away, even if I put another wallpaper on. Anyone have an idea on what is causing this or a fix I could try? thanks

Nevermind, I fixed it somehow. I turned off some stuff in the system startup and it went away so I imagine it was part of an unknown program. /sigh

I'd download "adaware" and "spybot" updateand run a full scan

same goes for loading an anti virus program, updateing and scanning
since you aprently are not running one
