could have sworn i answered this post...apparently i'm hitting the ale alittle too hard this morning...or i posted porn by accident and the mod's of doom© deleted my post.

you shouldnt need any software for your router, son. a firmware upgrade flash every now and again is all that you need. point your browser at http://192.168.1.1 and forward those ports to your heart's content.

sorry RT338 dosen't have HTML interface (Hence the reason for a seperate GUI Software) and there's only one firmware, son. I can Telnet but the unquieness of where and what this Router is used for makes the GUI much prefered, the router is one end of a VPN at a remote site that connects another office and if ever youve had a nice Terminal Server session, that then telnets is a lesson in extreme patiance.

Thanks but that is the Firmware/bin files and is about the only thing downloadable for the RT338 from netgear however if you have the earlier model th RT328/RH348 (the 348 has a 4 port hub) you can get the Netgear FirstGear(tm) GUI interface it seems that the FirstGear(tm) is unquie to each router isn't compatable with other models (I know because some of the other sites that VPN use a RT328 and I tried the First Gear(tm) stuff)

Edit
Trust me, with al the difficulties I've had in Obtaining just a image of the FirstGear Resource CD I'll host it forever on my ftp site
