120Hz is great for the eyes so that should be fine. Wish I had a monitor that could get there.

Welcome to the forums. Try making the signature smaller, not taking up so many lines in space.

thanks for the info.

i shortened my dillio out, should be better.

i did a search in the forums and it seems like most try for whatever dosnt make there screen flicker or is easier on the eyes. mine seems pretty comfy now so i leave her there. i was just wondering if anyone else had the same crt and what they used.

something else i was wondering. is it true that whatever your refresh rate on your monitor is at is really what your true fps is ingame? like if your game is at 100 fps and your refreshrate only goes to 85 means you only truly get 85 fps? i believe the human eye can only pickup 60. i dunno.

You said it: just use what's comfortable for you. Personally, I have to go with 85hz or higher. The fps question is only in effect if you use vsync in applications. As long as it is off, your fps will go as high as your comp can spew them out.

Not really... your video card might be spewing out 300 fps, but if your refresh rate is 85 Hz, only 85 frames will be shown per second, regardless of vsync.

i leave vsync on, i havent always but it seems to be better with it on.

120 seems to be my happy medium with fps in games. ill give it a go for a little while.

thanks for your input guys.
