Monitor not working proerply

My dads monitor is stuck on 60Hrz, and will not go to 85Hrz even if selected, I tried using Plug and Play inf and Default Monitor ones (He doesnt have monitor drivers)

I've tried using Powerstrip but dont have a clue how to use it, his monitor does support 85Hrz on 1024x768. This has happened after the drivers with BF2 game (nVidia ones) and also happens with his new card, ATI (Yes i used Driver Cleaner Pro etc).

Help me!

so hes using an ati card right now? What drivers are you using?

Try turning off Use DDC Information in monitor properties

Its blanked out, but i changed it to 1024x768 @ 85Hrz in the drop down box's and now it works, Ty.
