Hi everyone, I'm finally getting high speed, DSL I think. Anyway, what do you recommend I get for peak Internet security?

a good router with a built in firewall

A good router with VPN firewall and NAT, a pc firewall + antivirus like norton security,
anti spyware tools , spybot, adaware, spyware blaster

If you don't have a router, kerio personal firewall, antivir or avast antivirus, adaware and spybot all work well, and are all free. Plus, use a browser other than ie, such as firefox/opera.
