Billion Port Fwd Question!
Hey,
I have just hooked up with a new ISP and they have given me a Billion ADSL router, I already have a DLINK 704P router which is used as my firewall. In order to enable ports for my ADSl connection, how do I do this? I am fimnilar with port forwarding on both routers but I have a feeling I need to enable one of them to accept the IP from the other device, meaning only one router needs the port to be forwarded. E.g Port 7000 needs opening. Do I fwd this on my Dlink or my Billion? It seems that If I enable this port on both devices the port is still closed. I hope this makes sense! Oh and the DLINK is connected to my PC NIC via network cable and the Billion is then connected from the DLINK to itself.

K so is the B router a modem or does it also have the function of gateway? I know some times you have to setup the DSL modem to just work as that. However, I don't no clue how to that on your router. I've only done it with SBC. Anyway I would think you forward the port from the B to the Dlink IP then to your PC.
