just upgraded to 2 gb ram

i just upgrade to 2gb corsair xms 3200 , i`ve heard that its good to reinstall windows to have good perfomance is that true??

reinstall windows because you added another 1 gig? no windows will adjust virtual memory on the first boot up, who told you that?

a friend told me that , thank zardon i really didnt want to spend the rest ofthe day reinstalling all my games .

You might want to lower the page file size a bit though.

Is there really a need for 2gb of ram right now? I have been pondering this for sometime now and cant really decide if its worth it or not. I have 1gb right now (512x2)

the reason why i upgraded it was because bf2 , the game is running much better now.and f.e.a.r as well.

BF2 runs pretty good for me with 1gb so thats the reason I am hesitant on spending the money for 2gb.

I am sure when UT2007 comes out I definatly will have to get 2gb then.

Probably a good idea for the newest games with very large textures - running at high ( >1280x1024) resolution, AA and AF, with a video card having 256Mb or less of ram. Ram upgrades are satisfying these folks...

I only game at 1280x1024 and i have 1g ram and a 6800 ultra so maybe thats why i dont notice it to bad

trust me on bf2 everything seems faster now even o f.e.a.r the game is running way better now but it still needs some serious optimizations
