Ram problem with W.o.W.
Alright I'm at my wits end with this one. I'm running an FX55 on a Gigabyte K8nxp-sli rig with 4 sticks of Ozc pc 3200 plat rev 2's and a 7800gtx with 2 74 gig Raptors. This rig has performed perfectly with a ton of games. I have had no need to overclock at all. Everything was fine until I installed patch 1.7 for WoW.
After a minute or 2 of gaming I either get hard locks, crashes to the desktop, or spontanious reboots. Through trial and error I have found that the ram seems to be the culprit. And the only way to prevent it from happening is letting the bios "adjust" the speed rams speed back down to 333 mhz. I understand that this is a Nforce4 issue and Nvidias stance on this is when you run more than 2 dimms it is recommended that the bios be set to a 2t command rate and the ram devided to run async to the processor (333/400). After much careful research I have found that ALL Nforce4 boards can and do support the rams rated speed of 400mhz and the command rate HAS to be set to 2T due to the mem conntroller on the processor. As I have said the system is super stable. My ram settings are set to their recommended specs. I have run Prime95 for a full day along with 3dmark2001, Sisandra and countless other apps...with no issues whatsoever. this is really making me mad that I have to relax my ram every time I play. Any ideas?

What revision processor is it? Because as far as I know core revisions prior to venice/san diego need to run 4 sticks at 333mhz instead of 400, regardless of your motherboard chipset.

Can they run at DDR400@2T? I say relax the timings a bit(especially tRCD; try it at 4 or 5) and bump up the voltage. Also much depends on the cpu, as hohum stated, older cores cannot handle 4 dimms too well.
