Hello all and Happy New Year.
While sitting around last night, yea no night on the town, I decided to pull the stock fan off of my cpu, remove the stock thermo pad and apply some Artic Silver II. Well my cpu temp dropped from 45 degrees C to 42 at idle for 3 hours hooked to the net. I had almsot forgotten I had th AS II in the drawer. I used it on all my AMD cpu's before I got this my first P4. As always, you can not go wrong with Artic Silver II! Stay Cool!!

Palladin, happy new year! The truly hardcore might consider lapping their P4s, as well.
On a totally unrelated note, I see that you have a Boomslang! You're the first person I've seen with one -- how is it? I've wanted one of those forever...

Javafox,
Lapping is far beyond my capability. About the Boomslanger, I swear by it. I got mine several years ago when they first cam out. The company went bust for awhile but found new backing and are on their way back. I have not used anything else since I got my Razor. Nothing has the same feel.

Awesome. I hope to one day own --or at least try-- one of those mice. Again, on a totally unrelated note, were you ever stationed on Okinawa?

I think you will like it once you get one.
In response to your other question, no but, I did spend 10 of my 20 years in other overseas assignments. I see you are in Tempe, AZ. My family and I moved here from there. Well we lived in Gilbert from Feb 94 until Dec 01. I worked at the Boeing (McDonnel Douglas) facility. Don't I wish I were still there. Quote:
