??? direct x9 and cat 3.0?

i am currently running direct x8.1b and the 2.5 cats. i am having no problems and am pleased with everything. my question is why should i update to direct x9 and the 3.0 cats? they seem from what everyone says to be kind of buggy and with everything running good now i am just wondering is it worth it right now?
thanks for your help as always

I'd upgrade, but use the Omega Cat 3.0 set instead of the official set. I haven't had any problems with Dx9 at all and haven't read anything about it being buggy, but as I understand it the OpenGL from the Cat 3.0 set is pretty sub-par. The Omega set uses the OpenGL from the Cat 2.5 set, and is generally a great driver set. Check this thread out if you haven't yet: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthre...&threadid=8420
