X800 / Monitor / PSU problem

My system:
3ghz p4
1 gb ddrram
x800xl (problem)
psu 300W not true power (problem)
120 gb hd
Ok... i got my computer about 2 months ago and it worked fine for 1 month, then one day i turned it off and when i turned it on again the monitor wouldnt turn on... well i guessed with was nothing so i restarted it again and it worked, then the other day that same thing happened but now it wouldnt work anymore.... So i stopped using the computer for about an hour and tried again, it worked, i was able to do whatever i wanted, play games, listen to music, anything... then when i turned it off it wouldnt turn on again... so an hour later i came back and it worked.. so i restarted it right after i turned it on and it did not work... now im very confused... the video card never smelled like burning or anything, it never got over 60 degrees, then fan never stopped working, nothing seems to be wrong, and everything i play a game i open the computer and turn the fan on.... i dont know how that happened... and i have no ideia what the problem is... now im with a 5200 geforce and the pc freezes twice with my friend playing TIBIA and once with me not even doing anything... so thats strange...
I went to my friends house (2.4 ghz, 512 ddr, 9800 pro before) and tried my x800 xl on it... it worked for the first time then when i restarted it wouldnt work anymore... same thing, then when i got home i tried it on my pc which had been on for the hole day, it didnt work but then in the morning i tried again and it worked with the pc cooled down... those are the facts... do you guys have any idea what the problem is and what i should do about it? should i call some guys to come see my video card? do you think its repairable? =(

System Specs

Well, first off I'd have to say that the PSU you're running would be the bare minimum for your computer with the specs that you've listed. First suggestion would be upgrade your PSU to something like 450w and then see if you have the same problems. Just out of curosity, what is the size of the PSU you're friend was using when you tried your video card in his rig?
