It kind of looks like a harmonica. Would blowing into them to see if they make music ruin the warranty?

Seriously though I like the look of them, and if they work better than the previous design then even better!

They took good, except I think 'ocz' would look better than 'z'

agreed......and possibly offer it in anodized colors (keep the mesh silver/chrome....but the gold part could come in colors, like red, blue, black, or green) for an additional, say, $5-10. Would be hot with the case mod crowd

Yeah, I think having OCZ rather than "Z" on it would be much better. OCZ is a well-known established brand with an excellent reputation whilst "Z" is just, well a letter. It just or looks over-trendy, you know? Might look better with a different font, or a maybe just bit thinner. At the least, I think it would have looked much better at the right side of the spreader instead of the middle but that's just my opinion.

Wish they'd offer it in more colors. I for one am a fan of Black heatspreaders. It just makes the RAM look massive, bulky and powerful. If not, at least some chrome/silver would be great.

it will probably be gold and chrome like before. Athough that would be a nice idea, I think my gold heatspreaders, are um, tacky.

If you used a Harmonica tester, which is a small bellows you pump, this woul keep moisture and bits of food out and save your warranty.

I agree, it's nice to have a change and they do retain less heat.

I think given the design and the goal to have maximum airflow and heat transfer the OCZ was dropped in favor of Z. The "Z" in OCZ was always bigger like you see in my avatar.

i'd be content with it..... looks don't matter.. it's what the preformance is like... and that works for all things
