Strange Hum noise from pc Please help!
Hi everyone,
There is a strange noise coming from inside my computer. It sounds like the fan of either my cpu or my graphics card. It makes a really loud hum that fluctuates depending on what program I'm using. Whenever I do something that takes up a bit of memory, say in Photoshop, the noise is very loud and it is really annoying. Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of it? Could it that my CPU fan is not properly seated? or maybe the CPU temp is too high? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Alzdaman |

The only thing you can do is inspect all your fans to find out which one it is. Power the system down, and check the fans by moving them. If you feel a lot of "drag" then you've found the fan. It sure sounds like your processor fan though.
