What would you do with $1550?

I have $1550 to spend and I want to spend it on my PC. I was thinking about buying this:

AMD 4400+ X2
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe
Thermaltake Armor Case Silver
OCZ 2GB Ram
MSI 7800 GTX

Was wondering if anyone had any other ideas, must include motherboard, processor, and ram minumum.

Seems pretty decent. Make sure you get a decent power supply as well.

System Specs

that should have enough power, but maybe a 550w model to be on the safe side

Go for the Asus A8N-SLI Premium. it's only $10. more and it uses heatpipes for cooling instead of a fan on the NF4 chipset. Asus has had a lot of problems with the fan being way too loud and then failing. Many Deluxe owners have opted for 3rd party cooling options. I figure if you don't spend the extra $10 in the beginning, you'll spend at least that on a new cooler and some AS5.

I personally have a Zalman heatsink on my NF4.

Another thing to think about, if you are interested in OC'ing then you might want to check out the A8N32-SLI Deluxe. it should come out later this month. It has a new 8way power deal, probably more bios options than the DFI and a fanless design. It looks pretty sweet.

That's what I'm going for, it has PCI-E x16 in each slot, while all other motherboards at the moment have PCI-E x8 in each slot. And this motherboard uses heatpipe technology too. Here's some more specs for any of you interested: ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe

the only problem w/ that mobo Wee is that it's impossible to find right now. there are only a couple online retalers that have it and they are all backordered or preorder and most won't let you order it at the moment. Also, it is about $70 more than the Deluxe and Premium.

although I really like the looks of that board and when the prices come down I might think about getting it to replace my Deluxe :-)
