hard disk light

hi guys ,just wanted to ask if anyone knows why my hard disk red light keeps on flickering when im not doing anything ?
seems to be doing this all the time,left it for 1hrs and it still does the samething
Even changed the red light but same thing still happens .

does anyone knows whats going on here or how to stop it ?

Hello Pham,

Because you are not using your PC, it doesn't mean that the system won't access the HDD. Especially if it has to use the swap file, it will never leave the HDD alone.

You can stop it by removing the HDD LED cable from your motherboard, if you find it annoying!

When this starts happening I look at my processes to see what is going on. To be honest your HD shouldn't be doing some thing for no reason. I'm sorry if that seems vague but it might not be a bad idea to do some spyware/adware scans.
