Antec..

[color=black]Has anybody recently bought any Antecs and thought that their quality got badder? I just saw my friends antec TX1050B yesterday, his parts seemed more cheap, and easier to break than my Antec I bought in 2002... To answer my qestion his antec broke after he was setting up his speakers and he banged his foot aganst the front and the door thing fell off.. How the heck does that thing fall off with a foot?? I have kicked, spilled, and banged agianst it tons of times but it didn't break or dent other than the USB problem... Any comments on Antecs quality...

He is gonna get RMA etc but pissed cuz he has to pull out 3,000 CAD Dollors worth of stuff outta there. I always thought Antec good but are they still good??

My Super Lanboy I bought in 2003 was a POS. It was cheaply built, bend very easily, power button continuously fell off or jammed in. The window warped in no time.

System Specs

Their flagship chassis P180 has had plenty of manufacturing quality issues reported on the net, and the three I've seen first hand have all had door or sidepanel issues. The Sonatas still seem good though.

I'd go for the Cooler Master Stacker 810 if it fits the budget(might be on the dollar). Otherwise the Antec Sonatas still have great value as they come with a good powersupply included.

I find antec quality good but used to be better (my PSU rails have gone haywire in less than 6 months! oh well)
