I just bought a new computer, and for some reason it won't go past the IRQ screen at boot up.
I have the following parts1xAmd athlon 64 4200 dual core A8n-sli deluxe 2x512 ultra ddr3200 1x300gb seagate hdd Ultra x-finity 600watt psu ATI Radeon 7000 64mb (for now i intend to upgrade to Nvidia Geforce 7800 GTX) Hp lightscribe dual-layer dvd burner Win Xp pro x64 Wireless card I have tried removing the wifi card, Removing internal firewire, audio, and usb ports, But still the same Problem. Does anyone know of a way to fix this problem? Oh yeah, on them irq list, on the bottom right of the list it just says ACPI and its irq setting. Please Help Thanx |

Sounds like a hdd problem.
Is this a brand new hdd in your system or has it been used on another machine previously? Is it a SATA drive? Have you tried to boot with a windows cd in the cd-rom drive? EDIT: should have asked if you've tried to boot it with the hdd disconnected. If so does it do anything differently? |
