Very nice, congrats to you on your nice rig. Don't forget to eat and sleep today, as when someone gets a new rig, these sort of things get put on the back burner.

Make sure you check the capacitors about once a day for a month, the KN8's capacitors have been known to be very faulty. Abit said they knew the problem, and addressed it so you probably have one of the good ones.

Multitasking together - you and your machine must be in love!

Granted, I would be too...

yes it should be good. I dont know how far you want to push it but I am running 230FSB without a problem. at 240FSB my memory craps out on me.
It has all the voltage options, plenty of memory options, locked FSB for other devices. Dont know how high you can push the voltage but I think high enough on air. The layout is exellent for cooling all important bits. It compares with the asus boards for sure. Took abit a while to release a good product again but this certainly is.

Great board no problems with it. Also it has capacitators which wont fail on you see pictures

Kingston HyperX DIMM 1 GB (DDR400, KHX3200A/1G) x2
not as expensive as other ram. and U need 4000 ram not 3200 since athlon 64 uses ddr400!!!
at 230FSB I have 3 3 3 6 or 7? I just did read from SPD from the bios and it configures your ram by manufacturer speed. then click manual and then overclock. 2.5 cas doesnt work at that speed. also upped the voltage one notch in the bios from default. using 1T command rate (I dont know what it does but its important)

I noticed you're running the RAM sticks side-by-side. On my ABIT IC7-G, if I use alternate slots, I get Dual Channel. If you have matched pairs, can you get Dual Channel on this board?

Very nice rig!

Hey, sweet rig!

Im wondering myself about these ABiT boards, was about to get the KN8 SLi cause of the silent heatpipe, but Im getting an opteron 165 and want to OC the hell out of it so I figured the dfi ultra infinity would be the better option.

Could a decent OC (2.4) be done on thesE ?

Ohh and hows the temps with the zalman passive chipset cooler ?

hi,
I run dual channel they changed the layout, side by side is dual channel

and yes 2.4Ghz should not be a problem
the silent heatpipe cooler does not cool the nforce4 board enough if you dont have MEAN airflow in your case and gets burning hot

So I did this:
take old cooler unattach fan:

and attach it to the heatsink . Using a zalman fan controller running at half speed. Now its warm to the touch much better then stock cooling and quiete cause I find all stock northbridge cooler way to loud. I pushed the cables into the heatsink and just put some cardboard at the bottom of the heatsink and some stickytape (cellatape) and some cellatape to attach bottom of fan with cardboard. the cardboard and fan will not more at all even when I shacke it. I hate noise. Good board, shame there is no reviews out there and I cant be asked to write one

more system pics at full size and game pics etc.

Great job right there, yeah my findings have told me that a passive nf4 chipset doesnt work real good when overclocked, Im thinking of getting an evercool vc cooler later as its supposed to be quieter than the dfi stock one.

The old boxes said the same thing about the capacitors, I just wanted to let you know, I'm pretty sure they put good one's on it now though.
