??? I Need Advices On Cpu/Videocard Performance

Hi, i want some informations on cpu/videocard performance. I got alot of questions!
I was looking around some other forums and it says that my CPU is a bottleneck for the Videocard I got. Is it true? Athlon 64 3000+ 1802mhz with a X850XT
Im asking this because looking for a new CPU, a Athlon X2 4400+ and wanted to know if its a good choice over the cpu I got now?
Will it increase my performence in games and overall with the same videocard?

I doubt getting an X2 will increase game performance a whole lot. It might just make things run a bit smoother. Btw, why don't you get an Opteron 170 and oc it to X2 4400+ speeds?

Yes sir! They're very good processors. Usually OC to 2.5 - 2.7Ghz, though some go even higher Plus they come with 2MB L2 Cache . The Opteron 165 is cheaper, but it's clocked to 1.8GHz, instead of 2.0GHz which is the speed of the 170. It's still a great oc'er too, though it doesn't have a 10x multiplier...

It'll give you better performance when running multiple tasks at the same time. As for game performance, some said they noticed performance gains and others said they didn't. I only suggested the Opteron 165, 170 as alternatives to the X2 4400+ since they're cheaper I think you'll need to get one of the FX processors if you want to see big peformance gains in gaming. Plus with an FX processor it shouldn't be a bottleneck with your vid card.
