the first thing to bear in mind is that I don't game heavily, a bit of cs:s or farcry every now and again is about all.

I'm looking at 2 atm, just to give myself an idea of what I should be shopping for more than anything.

1st: 3.6G LGA775 w. 1mb l2 cache HT

2nd: dual core 2x 2.8G w. 2mb l2 cache each =total 4mb cache


both are the same price, both lga775, so which is better?

either is a real stretch for me to be honest, my backup is a 3.0G lga775 with 2mb cache at £118.

do like the look of the dual core though.....
