Mouse Lag

I've been using Logitech mice for a number of years now and never have had any real problems to speak of. Recently I purchased a new LX7 . The most irritating thing is the pointer will just freeze at any give moment, surfing the net or playing games, there's not much difference. I'm constantly having use the reset button on the bottom side of the mouse. Anyone having the same problems, and if so, how did you fix the problem? Or is it just time to switch companies and try another brand of mouse?
