Please help computer wont boot/post

i have this problem just got a new RAM from a friend its a 1GB PC2100 DDR when i tried to install it the computer wont boot.i turn on the power and the computer looks like its about to start and then it shuts down and turn back on with everything working but the screen wont turn on like its idling.

i thought the problem was the new RAM so reinstalled my old ones but the computer stell wont boot i tried resting the CMOS but that didnt work...please help

i have had this problem two times before and i took the computer to the shop and fixed it but the guy working there wont tell me how he did it and i have to spend 50QR everytime but this time i was hoping someone here can tell me what's the problem and how to fix it.......thank's

motherboard:MSI 845 pe neo
CPU:3.0Ghz
VGA: 6600 256MB

ops......

sorry all i did was unplug the Hard Disk and the computer booted fine so i reinstalled it and it worked i also found out the 1GB RAM dont work on my computer

.

anyway i know this is off topic does anybody know any online retailers who ship internationally.i live in Qatar and i'm desperately trying to upgrade my PC but the prices in my country are unbelievable expansive especially if you compare them with the ones online...

you will still have to pay custom fees or duty taxes, and think about the problem you may have when you need to make a warranty claim.

yah i know but there's no other way........anyway i did find a site prices are not newegg but what can i do? i think im going to get the 7800 GS

you not know anybody in the states that could buy it for you and ship it as a gift?
that gets by the customs thing (or it does here in the uk anyways )
