XP USB Issues

We have designed and implemented a USB 2.0 compatible Fast 1.1 device and also a WDM USB Driver to support it. We have an XP Shutdown/Restart problem when operating through a USB 2.0 Hub. These problems are not manifest when connected to a PC running XP and a 1.0/1.1 Fast Hub. We have searched relentlessly for info. on this type of problem and all we have found is inferences to what might be the problem usually telling you get an updated driver! We have checked out the MS Support and MSDN sites. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening either at the device level or in the WDM driver stack?
