DH Review: Hiper 5M730 PSU

Read The Review Here

The unit we will review is the 5M730 and comes from the “Type-M” product series, which consists of top performance but non-modular power supply units. With a 730W continuous output and 930W peak output, it surely is a very powerful high-class power supply unit. It only remains to see if it has enough features and performance good enough to justify the ≈140€ (inc VAT) price tag. Let us have a closer look at it.

@ 140EUR a pop, why the hell do you only get a crappy cardboard box with it? where's the tool chest I got with my type R??
otherwise, nice review Grace (as ever). although, not sure we need photo's of the instruments you use to test the thing. we trust that you don't make the figures up

You'll get the recycled paper cardboard box with the Type-M series units and the toolbox with the Type-R series units. Rule of the thumb.

I know you trust me Richy but not everyone is a regular DH'er. It is typical to post the instruments and methodology in reviews.

So, just to make you even more mad about that, I have more instruments coming.

...and Grace is actually one of the few on the net who test a PSU under load using proper instrumentation, recording the results in a thoughtful and scientific manner - kudos to DH, and thank you!

Again, that load box is just an outstandingly practical (and gorgeous) piece of work.
