DH Review: G.Skill Pi DDR2 PC2-8800

Read The Review Here
___________________

DDR3 RAM sales are slowly but steadily increasing, mainly due to the aggressive price drops in the past few months but also because of the inability of DDR2 RAM to evolve much further. Despite that, DDR2 RAM modules are still very popular as they are still the most cost effective solution.

Although many companies have started to focus their research and development on DDR3 modules many months ago, some have released high performance DDR2 in the past few weeks. One of the most impressive sets are the new Pi series from G.Skill which can operate at 1100MHz at only 1.9Vdimm. By the end of the review will we know if they are worth the money.

Zazza is on a distinguished road

Hi everyone...
I'm planning to change my system...
I was considering buying this kit along with a DFI Lanparty UT X48. I've heard, here and there, there could be some problems with this matching.
Is that true? Could you please, eventually, point me to a different 2x2GB kit (overclocking-wise) for that mainboard?

Thank you very much.

Hi Zazza. Welcome to DH. Glad you found the review useful.

Unfortunately you've made this post in the wrong section of DH and are unlikely to get any replies from the hardware gurus who may have knowledge of your DFI mobo. You will need to start a new thread here - Hardware Discussion & Suupport. Please remember to state your full system configuration with your question so that you can get the best possible advice.

Good luck!!
