Cyberpower Gamer Infinity Quad Elite Review @ DH
Read The Review Here
__________________________ Not everyone wants to build their own PC and with the plethora of hardware available, sometimes it can be tricky getting a high performing system working just the way you want it. If you are less experienced or just fancy having a rig built custom made, for you, then Cyberpower specialise in competitively priced gaming machines. How does a watercooled, overclocked Q9550, ATI HD 4870 X2, 4GB of DDR2 ram, 750 GB Sata II HDD with a 780W PSU all running on an Asus P5Q Pro P45 motherboard sound? What if they sweetened the deal by throwing in the gorgeous Hiper Anubis Case? |

Wow, great "little" system there. Me want very much!
Does it come with OS disc? Any games on discs? (sometimes graphics cards and mainboards have one or so)

they come with a reinstallation OS disc yes which is basically a cloned OS of the first install.
No games are supplied no, just the hardware and build listed

I had a pretty scathing post come at me on another forum about cyberpower pertaining to their warranty service. You might want to be a bit careful about that. Of course part of the problem was that the build used the rather not-so-wonderful Asus Striker series motherboards. That system, however, uses a stunning selection of parts. I'm not willing to bet it's going to be remotely affordable, but it looks a very nice 'plug it in and away you go' build.

my friend bought a cyberpower pc last year and I gotta say its quite impressive. For someone who didnt want to build a pc or was unsure they seem really good. I like the fact they dont install a bunch of crapware on the systems too.

I have to say the more I think about it the more impressed I am. The fact they put those protection bags inside the system is wonderful and I hope they do it for all their systems.
I am still not sure how I feel about the liquid cooling option. Won't the liquid need replacement? Isn't it easier to get damaged during shipping? (either from them to you or later on when/if you ship it to another place etc) The price is very good too.

The liquid cooling system is self contained and according to my sources it doesnt need any maintenance. There are other options in place if you don't want to go with Liquid however. |

Good news then
Thank you. If I take one from them I will probably avoid the liquid cooling since I never overclock anything, stupid I know, but matter of habbit lol.I will try to order a PC from Greece from a UK company and have it delivered in my UK address in the next week or two, so Cyberpower seems like a very good choice. One more reason is I am not sure I want to spend the few hours of assemblying the system. I don't have the "desire" to do that as much as I did in the past. So, so far I am down to Cyberpower, yoyotech, pcspecialists and one more I forget the name now lol.

Well as you know yoyotech are very active here and I know a few people in cyberpower so you have some form of "backup" via me here if you need it.

Well for those reading this I managed to get the system to 4.2 ghz with minor core voltage increases. There is still further headroom for additional overclocks if you pushed the core voltage more than 1.3.
Great processors those Q9550, works really well on the Asus P5Q Pro. |

Hey Zardon, enjoyed your review of this machine. Nice to see screenshots too showing box contents, and the case open. Cyberpower and PCSpecialist are shortlisted for a new PC I'm buying at the end of October.
Forgive my newbieness, I'm obviously missing something. I've been comparing your review with Veridian3's review of the PCSpecialist Apollo, and I don't understand how your PC wipes the floor (games benchmarks) with one costing twice as much. I know your CPU was overclocked, but is that it? what else am I missing? Just wondering what an extra grand could do to your machine ![]() Cheers Bletch |

Thanks. Glad you liked the review.
There are various factors in this. For a start there is a 800mhz clock increase on the cyberpower system which means CPU limiting will be lower. The Cyberpower uses an X2 which has double the memory (driver optimisations are also better). Also although its confusing, Veridian and myself might not benchmark the same sections or levels in the games as we don't used scripted benchmarks, more real world play. Personally if you are choosing between both I would recommend the cyberpower, the graphics card is more sophisicated and you can add another at a later date if the wallet allows. It is also pre overclocked which means if you aren't gaming all other functions will be markedly faster. |
