Corsair TX750 PSU @ DH
Corsair TX750 Review
________________ Today we will have a look at the TX750, a high output PSU designed to offer great electrical performance at the best possible price to performance ratio. Corsair released the TX750 several months ago but it still is considered to be one of the best choices anywhere close to its retail price. We will stress it to its limits in this review. |

Re: Corsair TX750 PSU @ DH
As a person building a new computer, I would have liked it if the reviews referenced recommended products during the testing. For example, in the conclusion if the author felt the PSU didn't stack up as well as they'd liked what would they have recommended as a better unit? Then link to that review so we can compare their findings.
Other hardware sites usually mention what the benchmark is for that particular piece of hardware and it makes it a lot less of a hassle.

Re: Corsair TX750 PSU @ DH
Well what we are implementing is a system for our review index in which our readers can see all the award winners.
While I appreciate your input on this, with a power supply there are many variables and they can be rated in various areas, such as efficiency, noise, power output etc. In the end the user needs to know which area is most important to them and I hope our PSU reviews present enough technical data for them to make educated judgements. I do understand however that we need stronger guidelines and I think the overhauled review index should be the first step to improving our presentation of award winning products. |

Re: Corsair TX750 PSU @ DH
That's a great change and I look forward to it. Perhaps this would help facilitate reviewers checking back to see what the benchmark standard is for that type of hardware so their conclusions can contrast that.
That way when a guy like me is reading up on DH reviews deciding what the best components are for a new computer I'll be able to tell that X motherboard just didn't live up to the standard that Y motherboard set in a previous review. In the past I've emailed a DH reviewer to ask what he thought was best of all types of hardware he tested and that's worked well for me but it would be so much cooler if everyone had access to that knowledge.

Re: Corsair TX750 PSU @ DH
How is the noise level? I'm thinking of using this one in an Antec P-182 case, I don't want a jet engine in there
