Another great review Nathan

On the touchpad I am not a big fan of them ... works that well?

On the 64 bit OS issue I think manufacturers should start offering this as an option.

Yeah a couple of manufacturers continue to ship 32bit Vista with 4gb of RAM, something that will hopefully change soon.

I'm not a huge fan of that textured touchpad myself but I was surprised by the ease of use. It was very responsive and puts you quite in touch with cursor movement.

Re: Acer Aspire 8930G Laptop @ DH

A good review and a good laptop.

As far as textured touchpads go, I've only tried one on my aunts eMachine and I found it appalling, though it was mostly due to the fact that it was covered with some awful plastic (I'm not usually the one to say things like this, but that plastic would scream "Cheap!" on a calculator, let alone a laptop). Still, I'm guessing that this one is much better.

I agree on the inclusion of Vista 64 bit with a system using 4G but getting there. On the touchpad thanks for the additional feedback and the reply Bro

Notice how the 9700 is actually much closer to a desktop 9500GT GDDR3. It's a nice laptop, but the price still seems really steep for what you get.

Bangs per buck only seem passable on cheap 17" latops ATM IMO (Acronyms FTW).
