A few weeks ago we tested out Novatech’s Zu which won our editor’s choice award. As you may or may not know, Novatech are a large UK supplier of a whole range of components and consumer electronics and they also manufacture laptops in addition to desktop machines.

Today we’re going to look at the Novatech X55MV Pro, a dual core laptop which promises to provide strong performance at an unbeatable price point.

Very good review.
I believe that the price is good compared to other similar laptops and for that well done to Novatech.
If they could offer the laptop for the almost same amount of money, but with a 9700 card it would make an offer very hard to refuse.
Although I am afraid with the coming of games like GTAIV, one might want to invest in a quad core cpu for heavy gaming.

Good for light gaming , the problem is even with quad core laptops like Alienware would affect the battery-life that mean you should charge it every 2 hours or less , which is too annoying and would make it like a desktop which is always attached to a power source.
It is interesting to see that most new laptops ships with BR-Rom, might take a time to ship it with a BD-R till their prices drops.

People who buy gaming laptops don't really care about battery life. They are not going to take the 1000-2000-3000 £ laptops to the subway or anything. They are to save space, or for people who travel relatively often.

I was just not impressed at all with this laptop's looks.

Just really looks mega basic. I would be passing this one up lol.


However very good review.

I wonder if the card in it is better than the radeon 3650 (mobile version). If it is, then I still think this is a good purchase if you do not play demaning games. If it is more or less the same then I am afraid there is a much better alternative from another company for almost half the money.
