Thermaltake ToughPower XT 850W @ DH
Thermaltake ToughPower XT 850W Review
____________________________________ It has been more than a year since Thermaltake diversified into the power supply market. We reviewed a few of their mainstream supplies back then and found them to be competitive and appealing products. Today we will have a look at a PSU from their latest high performance series, the Toughpower XT 850W. Thermaltake designed the Toughpower XT series with enthusiasts in mind and the result is a very interesting product with a massive 12V line and a very long range of features. That said, the power output and retail price pit it against the very best products currently available. We will soon see if it has what it takes to compete with the rest of the products of its class.

Re: Thermaltake ToughPower XT 850W @ DH
think i would get the non xt vers for $50 less. it is nicer looking(if u care about that
) to & also a great, silent performer- i have one in my comp. though it uses 4 12v rails instead of one big one. personally i prefer a well designed single rail system over a multi rail setup(a lot of the multi rail setups realy aren tru multi rail).i agree withe conclusin tyat charging a premium for someting that u done really need is silly marketing. i would also like to know what the jap ball bearing thing is about. not that it matters that much as yate loon make some very good fans. i see the price dropping on this product in the next few months. i assume it is going to phase out the current 850 & if it gets down into the low $200 price range will be a solid buy.

Re: Thermaltake ToughPower XT 850W @ DH
I thought the regulation numbers should have better for a PSU in this price range. On "gold plated" connectors you are right Grace it is a logical fallacy created by dudes with there hats on backwards that have no idea of load or impedance.
Great review
