Asus GTX260 Matrix Graphics Card @ DH

Asus GTX260 Review
__________________

Today we’re going to be looking at the Asus ENGTX260 Matrix graphics card. The card is complete with a custom cooler and a comprehensive software application which allows for overvolting and overclocking of the card. The card is available for about £160 and these features could easily give it a strong advantage over competing products.

Another great review! Also, a very good card, with only 3C difference in maximum temperature, there's little reason why a user shouldn't always keep the card overclocked and as the tests have shown, the performance can increase significantly.

Very nice card. Seems like it's bundled with good software. It's a bit too bad about the loud fan noise under load, seen they're using a custom cooler they could have prevented that I think.

Another think I don't really understand is why there are no direct HDMI outputs. More and more monitor have HDMI connectors so it would make sense to produce cards with one DVI and one HDMI for instance.

Re: Asus GTX260 Matrix Graphics Card @ DH

That is one heck of a card, looks awesome and obviously overclocks handily too.

Also, while I would like that iTracker software for my GTX 275, the card uses a similar downclock system when in 2D (Core @ 300Mhz, Shaders @ 600Mhz and Memory at 100Mhz x2) and of course uses the usual Asus software for overclocking etc.

Anyway, while OC'ing that card may make it faster than a GTX 275, that card still has more shaders, and of course, can be overclocked too. Still, it'll be a tough call at that price.

Ah well, I'll stick with my GTX275, but would say both would be a good choice, especially with the GTX275 starting to fall in price in response to the HD4890.

Another great review Nathan

This is a good one although with the extensive cooling I expected the temps to be lower. Either way a nice looking card !!
