Since the Phenom CPUs were launched we have seen a number of models become available with performance regularly increasing and more recently the addition of support for DDR3 but there was no sign of energy efficient versions. That changes today with the launch of the Phenom 2 X3 705e and Phenom 2 X4 905e. Also we have our first look at a dual core Phenom 2 and secondly there is the new Athlon 2 model which brings DDR3 support to the older family of CPUs.

great review guys, but I gotta say, underwhelming on a performance level again from AMD

Great review and nice to see some more additions to the AMD CPU line. We all don't need to have a top of the line CPU in our system.

Look decent for what they are and the Gigabyte motherboard looks good as well

actually the performance numbers appear to match if not exceed a comparible intel solution.... price wise.... actually Exceed in most if not all cases...

Cool review, its not always the fastest and greatest CPU's that make an impact its these babies that most of us will get ,especially the phenom II X2 550 BE, that is one hell of a processor

christ, I dont know guys in encoding the amd solutions get nailed, badly. I must be reading a different review to everyone else cause those adobe figures are crap. intel are still miles ahead. unless you are a tightwad, which most of you seem to be
