Wired2Fire Hellspawn ALC Review

Today we’re going to be looking at the Wired2Fire Hellspawn ALC, a system packed with overclocked components such as the i7 920 D0 processor cooled by a Coolit Domino, ATI’s blisteringly fast HD 4890 and a price tag of only £1099.

Decent looking system overall and a nice application for the Domino. The largest issue I see with this design as I have seen using the Domino in several cases is exhaust. If you rule out the fan on the Domino as a true exhaust fan then that only leaves 1 top exhaust fan and 3 intake fans.

I think an additional top fan would create more airflow for the chipset and RAM and drop the temps O/Cing.

Those temps seem really high to me, maybe not the best choice of case.

The only case I have excellent results with concerning temps and the Domino is the NZXT Zero2 as it has 2 rear 120mm fan locations .. so only one is taken by the Domino.

looks like a solid PC to me but then again am not very familiar with the i7...
