An excellent cooler for those fortunate enough to be running that monster of a card

Re: Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 4870X2 Review @ DH

I have always been satisfied with products from AC I still have the Accelero S1 installed on my 9600GT that I bought for my Sapphire X1950 initially.

On the screws the S1 had everything supplied of course neither card had a GPU backplate. On the size that is an issue even here the S1 on my 9600GT is 2 inches taller and 1 inch longer than the HD4870's I have here.

Great review Stu

I've been looking at this product for quite a while. Especially since summer kicked in my 4870x2 has never been hotter and louder.

Very useful review. Thanks.

5*General is on a distinguished road

Re: Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 4870X2 Review @ DH

I had one, and it is now in the bottom of my dumpster.

Reasons why : You should not WASTE your money.

1. It will only fit in a server case. Way to long. (Strike 1)
2. It looks good, but it takes up 3 slots. (Strike 2)
I could not use my SATA drives (Hard, DVD, DVDRW)
the connectors were under the Graphics card.
Had to move my Graphics card to PEG3 to use SATA.
Also had to remove my Creative X-FI card to put it in PEG3.
3. It also does not come with the 8 longer GPU skrews
you will need to install it. (Strike 3)

All in all I give it a thumbs down (1 out of 10)
