SSD Roundup August 2009 @ DH

Read The Review Here
___________________
When we last looked at SSDs in June it was clear that they had reached a place where there were three main controller manufacturers; Intel, Indilinx and Samsung. One of the initial pioneers of the technology, JMicron, had not released a new generation of controllers which could compete with these three. As a result all but one of the drives in that roundup was based on Indilinx, Intel or Samsung technology.

A few months down the line and two further companies have brought to market drives based on Samsung and Indilinx controllers. Today we take a look at those products to see what Corsair and Crucial offer us. Also included in this review is an updated SSD from OCZ which takes their excellent Indilinx based Vertex range and enhances the performance to create the Vertex Turbo.

Such fantastic results and it doesn't seem like there is any downside aside from the price. I would be willing to pay for a single expensive SSD but I'd rather have the benefits of RAID O so it's time to wait until the prices drop

is there any issues running the other brand SSDs in RAID 0? those Corsair SSDs are amazing but id rather get something that costs less and/or has more warranty
