I dont know the pricing of these, but if they are more then 100 dollars more then a regular 295, its not worth it honestly. I picked up my 295's from dell w/ 30% off, so it was like 350 for each card. How much do 2 of those Mars cost?
why would you do that because the reg 295GTX is 2 260 while the mars is 2 285GTX

Can you post more information? I ran tests with 2 295 GTXs via a intel DX580SO motherboard, memory at 1800mhz with a 965 EE @ 3.8ghz. I am confused as to how your 295GTX's could score around 8,800 more than these - what clocks are you running? Unless your CPU is massively overclocked and you are looking at the overall score rather than the GFX score?

Nice find - only thing is, as I expected he is quoting the overall score, not the graphics score.

Then still it's a lie. Look @ HWbot. You only would get 40k+ with a i7 @ 5 GHz+ and the 295's @ ~ 8xx/1250/1900 at least.

Re: Asus MARS Quad SLI - Extreme Gaming

Yes, of course its nonsense. even with the gfx overclocks the scores are not possible. We haven't included futuremark benchmarking in reviews for a very long time, partly because its not indicative of real world use and also because it seems to attract an audience who seem to want to score more than anyone else.

I'd like this thread to really get back to the hardware rather than debates on whether someone with 2x 295s can score xxx. I doubt much of the DH audience really care.

Well said.

I don't have a clue what's a good 3d mark score, and why would I?

So, on the hardware - did you take any power consumption readings from those cards?
