Re: XFX Black Edition 850W PSU Review @ DH

It is certainly at the higher end of the price bracket but to be fair other leading power supplies in this wattage range are around the 200 dollar mark Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-850HX 850W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

I don't think we have ever seen such high constant efficiency around the high 80's to 90% (in the 50% load area).

Looks very nice, love the design, shame it won't be seen in most cases. Efficiency and temps look great too.

Very good but rather expensive but then again if you want the quality the you have to be willing to spend the money

if it hits the $200-$250 price point it will be a great seller IMO since it's made using the same design layout as the Seasonic M12D lineup which is currently $359 here in Canada.

I have the Corsair HX850 which to me is a comparable unit and I paid $229 and is currently on for a mere $179 at NewEgg.ca

Impressive psu. Helluva way to make an entry.

On a side note, I like the new DH theme (the one with ASUS P7P55D DLX), and weird new avatar Zardon.

Re: XFX Black Edition 850W PSU Review @ DH

I was excited for my sister's husband when he bought his 850W high-end PSU. When I got mine though it was only 750W's so I'll always be spewing that mines not as good as his! lol

considering the direction the price of some comp bits has been heading recently, that's actually not so bad for such a solid looking PSU
