Well, it runs L4D2 wonderfully, no stutter even when being swarmed by 200 zombies, installing RF:G right now. Tomorrow I will install RE:5 and Dead Space. I will keep you posted. BTW this is the performance with 3GB of RAM, I expect my 4GB kit to arrive tomorrow, it should boost me up to 6.0 for WER.

I installed RF:G last night, it ran GORGEOUS! I just got rid of my HP Firebird 802 with SLI 9800GS cards, it ran ok, I had to turn down the graphics settings. However, on my M15X it looked nearly photographic!

I read that the M15X has "Stealth Mode" which turns off discrete graphics (this is on Alienware's site). However, I've read in a few places that this isn't possible. Does anybody know the facts?

Stealth mode turns off the Alienware lighting.

There are no onboard graphics in the M15x, stealth mode throttles down the CPU and GPU to save energy and lower noise.

Is it worth getting over the M17x, or am I better off paying that bit extra to get the M17x?
