Damn, I built a shuttle based PC this year and its crap compared to this, wish I had seen this earlier.
Great review guys, love the spec.

Top quality components for this build and a very good price too. I like the fact that they modded the case with the nice looking side panels and a side 120mm exhaust fan, that's really the main criticism of the stock Lian Li case - no proper exhaust fan.

Re: Cryo Nano Ultimate SFF Review @ DH
What a brilliant system - big manufacturers like Dell lack this special touch in my opinion. I mean can you imagine Alienware or the like replacing even the fan on the H50 cooler with a high grade Noctua?
Whole thing screams quality and I agree with the score, id buy it myself if I was a bit richer right now. |

A truly lovely system, I really enjoyed reading the review.
And it's nice to see that the people from Cryo have been reading the past reviews too since they used only DH approved components. Seriously, the way those particular components came together to make a reliable, quiet and very high performance PC in such a small form factor speaks volumes about the testing process at both Cryo and DH.

Re: Cryo Nano Ultimate SFF Review @ DH
Well, I fell in love with this system so much I bought it from Cryo to use as my main media PC machine now - my mac mini has been sent to the bedroom as a media player in there now.
I really rate the Nvidia windows drivers for media, as the edge enhancement and noise reduction algorithms within the driver advanced panels really look stunning on my main Panasonic NeoPDP 600hz Plasma, especially with 1080p content. Have made a few mods of my own to it, such as attaching a bracket to the northbridge with a 92mm low noise Zalman fan over it (I have the prototype which wasn't really totally finished) and have built a little support table for it, next to the TV which I painted a glossy black with smoked glass top. looks wicked. Also hooked in my 4TB Raid-0 external unit via the esata connection. get around 200mb/s with it so its a nice file storage unit for local HD content and backups. This is the only 'desktop' pc I have bought incidentally in 7 years as I have never been happy with the builds - I couldn't make a better system than this myself. |

Re: Cryo Nano Ultimate SFF Review @ DH
Wow, a really nice setup indeed.
I only would prefer a black fan and not that brown from the Noctua fan. I know Noctua's are extremely good fans, but only the color is a downside in my opinion

Re: Cryo Nano Ultimate SFF Review @ DH
Funnily enough thats one of the reasons I like them - they are very retro and stylish looking. Black fans are a dime a dozen.

Re: Cryo Nano Ultimate SFF Review @ DH
Well Noctua are just more than a 'pretty' fan maker, their technology is class leading and I don't think there are a company on the market who make better fans. If you want chrome coloured fans or something different, these would be easily painted - my friend bought Noctua fans and painted them a neon green which looked quite different!
Personally ill pass - I was never a harley davidson fan either - chrome seems to be a very american thing (certainly was when I lived there anyway), but I notice you are dutch, which is interesting ! |

Re: Cryo Nano Ultimate SFF Review @ DH
Just to let you know Cryo are selling these now with up to a 5970 handling the graphics. A slight modification is needed to the front of the chassis to accommodate it (means moving a fan forward, I did it myself to test) also they are recommending a 850W psu, although im sure the 650W corsair would handle it ok. Had a few emails from people who bought them based on our review. seems to be selling quite well.
