Thanks for this well made review , I liked the theme as well. The new "Lowest FPS" design is a little hard to figure , I found the last one better.

For the cards I find they are a bit expensive for me but they are gorgeous in performance.

why is that? the FPS is on the left and its moving up as down as the game progresses almost in real time. its massively more detailed than the last one......

Knew this would happen !

(if anyone else hates it please post in feedback forum, lets keep this thread to the products).

Re: AMD Roundup November 2009 @ DH

A nice roundup with all of the components worth attention.

It was nice to see these custom cooled 5870s, s good to see that manufacturers are trying to improve the currently best graphics solution while keeping the price increase reasonable.

Also, I was curious about the new Athlon X3 and it didn't disappoint. As for the new 965, I was slightly surprised to see it again, but lowered TDP means that it's now an option for a much wider audience as there are many fine boards that only support CPUs up to 125W so it's good that DH keeps their eyes peeled and that AMD is working on such minor things.

And finally, the board also left a good impression. I won't be building a new system soon, but if I were, this piece from DFI would be on my short-list.

P.S. Min fps graphs are a nice addition. For some reason, I found the original version somewhat better looking, although I can't really say that they were better and find the new ones just fine.

Re: AMD Roundup November 2009 @ DH

I like these roundups. I did feel that the min FPS graphs were like watching virtual paint dry. I hate waiting to see the complete picture. (That's my main gripe with any Flash graphs, but it's a longer wait in this particular instance.)

I'm impressed by the PowerColor card. Slightly faster overclock than the Sapphire at a considerably lower temperature.

Good review, I am thinking of getting the C3 stepping lower TDP

I like the options available today in the sub $100 market, thanks to AMD. The x3 435 doesn't make much sense when the x4 620 is just $10 more though.

Re: AMD Roundup November 2009 @ DH

Nice roundup

Overclock on that X3 435 is quite low ... :o

Btw, maybe a tutorial/review about the unlocking of the cores of AMD CPU's is nice? Like the Sempron 140, the Athlon II 240 and Phenom II 550 BE. And the cache of course from the X4 620.
You already have a motherboard with a SB750

Or am I the only one that likes those kind of features :P?

I do like the new graphs actually just took an extra second to get use to em.

I really am hoping to get a C3 with my X2 5870. But we'll see.

Re: AMD Roundup November 2009 @ DH

I take it the X-axis of the graph represents frame number? (i skipped the first page sorry , may want to label it for people like me)

very comprehensive review, thanks

ps congrats seraphic 1000 posts

edit: may want to consider changing the X-axis scale for the DVD upscaling graphs to make them a bit clearer? 0.1% on a graph that goes up in 10% increments is a bit hard to see
