Re: What CPU do you own?

E6850, E7300, E2180, Celeron 430 :P

Still no Quad yet. I wanted to switch to P55 and a i5 but the burned sockets scared me off :P

Intel C2D's run fine though. Easy overclocking and still good performance.

Re: What CPU do you own?

I was almost surprised to realise that the last three years has netted me three dual core systems, one AMD and two Intel. A quad for my main S775 mobo would be nice, but I'm still not feeling that they're worth the cost to me. Had it been based on AM2+/AM3 then it would have been easier.

Re: What CPU do you own?

Phenom II 710. I'm sorry I didn't get the 720, but I had a hard time getting the configuration I wanted. Most people are buying Intel here in Israel, and it's not a huge market, so the AMD CPU and MB imports are limited.

Re: What CPU do you own?

AMD dual core. (plus a venerable Athlon64 3000+ in the second PC which still chews through everyday stuff with ease)

I've only had this PC for a short while so I still haven't really seen what it's capable of, when I find it's limits I might upgrade as the prices and performance make lower end quads really tempting (especially since I love tech), but for the moment this really satisfies my needs.

Re: What CPU do you own?

someone pmed me to ask which CPU I had. I think I could check every one of them in the list to be honest - perks of the job, right?

My favourites? 920 Core i7 and the phenom 965BE. love those CPU's. 920 I7 is such a blast to overclock and the 965BE (or 955BE) are really solid performers at bargain prices.
