Orange to get iPhone in UK
Iphone 3G and 3Gs handsets are going to be available to Orange customers in the UK from 10th November onwards - this heralds a new era for potential Iphone customers as O2 no longer have exclusive rights to the Apple best selling product.
Orange are due to offer the handset as a "pay as you go" option as well as monthly deals and deals for business based customers. If you take out the 24 month contract costing £30 or £45 a month you get the handset for free. According to Orange there are already a quarter of a million people interested so sales are set to be very tasty on the run up to Christmas. Vodaphone are also due to get the Iphone but have yet to release any tariff or pricing information. Allan Campbell: Heaven Media |

Re: Orange to get iPhone in UK
well at least they are finally offering it there I guess. Nice to see that AT&T is loosening its death grip on the iPhone

Re: Orange to get iPhone in UK
ah, you don't get a GS for 30 quid a month, you get an old 3G.
thought that sounded too good to be true. you need to cough 125£ for a GS

Re: Orange to get iPhone in UK
hate to break it to you but the camera on the 3Gs sucks quite a bit too. Then again I think all phone cams are rubbish.

Re: Orange to get iPhone in UK
So your data and all is included in your quid price????
your texting options seem better too. 20 dollars for unlimited texting 30 dollars for data anywhere from 30-99 for the plan |

It's good to see another network finally having a leg up on the competition, However i still reckon there's better phones out there such as the Nokia N97 and the new LG Windows Phone.I've got an LG Cookie myself and i'm still very happy with it, Got it free on the limited £8.50 a month contract from Virgin. I even got a free upgrade today to 1GB's worth of mobile web for free

though at the same time I have an unlocked hacked G1 and google's marketplace is not such a super thing either so I have to say that the reason to get an iPhone isn't because you want the best device on the block, its more because you can't get all the fun stuff on the other phones. also, backing up Z's claim about the iPhone, yes the 3GS camera also sucks. I had one around here for awhile and the only real difference between the 3G and 3GS was the speed of some things and the fact that the battery was gone twice as fast. Not much of a fair tradeoff IMO considering that the extra speed is really useless when all of the apps for the iPhone are still being designed to only utilize the 3G to its full potential. (people would be a little angry if their 3G was dying trying to run an app you know) But aside from the speed, not a lot of the hardware was really changed a whole lot. Apple left some things exactly the same.

Re: Orange to get iPhone in UK
Apple were touting ads on the TV a lot not too long ago bragging about it's "Coolest" feature, Copy and Paste.
I literally facepalm'd when i saw it. |
